Zeke attended his first of four sessions of Puppy Kindergarten at Woofs! Dog Training Center in Arlington. He was one of about 15 puppies ages 10 weeks to 4 months. He was also one of the oldest, but smallest puppies present. Puppy Kindergarten is all about socialization, and a good portion of the class is spent learning to play with other dogs and people.
Zeke did very well on all the obedience-focused tasks such as the name game, sit, etc. He was a bit timid when it came to playing with his peers, especially the larger, younger puppies. His shyness turned into a bit of reactivity, which is partly JRT behavior and partly behavior modeled by Daisy. We will continue to go to as many puppy socialization events as possible to help the little guy catch up!
