Zekester had his first big boy vet visit to mark the first anniversary of his forever home. He visited Dr. Hollifield at the Best Friends’ Veterinary Hospital in Gaithersburg. We had a very good experience, and Daisy already scheduled her annual exam there too. http://www.bestfriendsvethosp.com/.
He weighed in at 15 pounds–triple his weight when he came home at 4 months old. He received his annual check up, plus this year’s vaccinations and bloodwork. He passed everything with flying colors and was a delight to the staff who love JRTs. Of course, it took two vet techs to hold him still for most of the appointment–he was generally very good, but wanted to run around and play. And look for the cats that the staff had to lock up since he came in the door…
Since it was Parasite Prevention Month, we received a deal on Interceptor and Frontline–and Zeke got to pick a free toy. He chose a squeaky, green teddy bear.

And he has been chewing on it diligently. So far it has all its extremities, but its nose is beginning to unravel…
