Zeke attended his second agility class last night. He was a bit wound up, probably from not getting his afternoon run in the yard because of the rain, but overall, he did fine. We reviewed tunnels and jumps, added the fabric onto the chute, and introduced the pause table.
On his third turn to run through the tunnel, he decided to play “Keep Away” with the trainer and Mom. He sat in the center of the tunnel and then would run back and forth between us, but wouldn’t come out. Eventually, Melissa caught him and just held his leash for a bit until he got bored, and then he ran through the tunnel to Mom for hot dog. It just goes to show that he is a very smart, little dog, and that he really needs agility to challenge him and keep him entertained. Like his sister’s first agility experiences, I think his behavior will improve once we get into running short courses.
