On Saturday night, I volunteered at WARL’s Rescue Me Gala 2009 at historic Union Station in D.C. One section of the main hall was used for the private event, and hundreds of people attended–many with their dogs. Most breeds were represented, from Yorkies to Great Danes. I served as a dog valet, which means I held people’s dogs when they needed a break or extra help. Here are some photos from the event:
