Last night at agility class, Zeke met the dog walk. He also learned how to target a box made out of pipe to work on a running contact. The other new piece of equipment he learned was the weaves. I think he’s really going to enjoy the dog walk and weaves–both involve running…
We also worked on continued focus. It’s really hard for Zeke to focus when our trainer’s dogs, Tracer or Dice, are around because they are very exciting and fast dogs. He is also mesmerized by the large Aussie in our class. But with lots of hot dogs and a clicker, we will persevere.
This week’s homework is to work on the running contact and get out our weave poles at home. We also need to continue to reinforce tunnels and jumps. And we can always work on calm behavior.
