My uncle is getting a second dog (Jake is his cocker at home), another cocker spaniel named Shine. She comes from SkyRocket Cockers, which is our agility trainer’s. Shine is 8-months-old and super cute and sweet! Click here to watch a video of Shine doing agility.
Daisy and Zeke got to meet their new cousin yesterday since their grandparents are driving Shine to her new home in Indiana today. At first, they weren’t too crazy about her coming into their driveway, their yard and their house. Daisy was tolerant, but was definitely concerned that another puppy had moved into her house. Shine was very good and tolerated Zeke’s rude greeting behavior–and by this morning, Shine and Zeke were the best of friends. Zeke would even take his toys to Shine; all was good as long as she stayed out of his crate.
Shine and Daisy are extremely food-motivated and sat side-by-side waiting for the hot dog delivery. Zeke couldn’t decide which was more-rewarding: sitting for hot dogs or sniffing Shine.
This morning, Zeke and Shine took a morning run together. Shine would take every jump in her path. Here they are in a few still moments–and check out the action-packed video below.
