Updates:
Well, Zeke hasn’t caught any moles with all the backyard digging, but he did either catch or find a bird. It was very dead when he presented it to us at the door–in front of guests, no less. He’s also been more zealous than usual with his toy hunting lately too. He’s torn out stuffing in his monkey, search-and-rescue dog, octopus, and he’s working diligently on his hedgehog.
The poor monkey is at the toy hospital for treatment.
Also, in a crazy turn of events, Zeke OFFERED an “over!” He was watching Daisy one evening go through her trove of tricks, getting lots of treats, and he just imitated her. We’ve been working on “over” for about two years with him, and he refused to do it. Sigh… I guess peer pressure also exists in the dog world.
In Daisy news, Miss Priss has been enjoying the start of the Redskins season from her comfy bed. She even brings her hedgehog to watch the games. You can tell she’s a big fan…
