You may recall that Mom, Daisy and Zeke moved into their new house a few weeks ago. Last night, Mom and her friend were talking in the basement standing right in front of the bar, while Daisy and Zeke played with a food ball toy in the large, open space. They were playing very nicely [...]

So, Zeke greeted his midday dog walker at the gate yesterday, which means he got out of his crate. This is the second time this has happened. We’re not sure if he’s an expert escapee (a little Houdini perhaps), or if Daisy is his accomplice… Also, we’ve had some very exciting news that Berdina has [...]

Mom was surprised to be greeted at the gate by Zeke one evening when she got home. Either Daisy released him from his crate, or he has figured out how to get out. Daisy has released crated dogs in the past, so this is not surprising. However, Zeke did leave a surprise for Mom. He [...]

Daisy and Zeke are doing very well, despite all the changes that are happening right now. Zeke is in the crate during the day since the dog walker is coming, and he’s doing OK with it. He just got a new, bigger crate that he’s gradually transitioning into–and he loves it! Much bigger! Zekester had [...]

It’s been awhile since the last Daisy and Zeke update since Mom has been out of town for almost two weeks! So, here goes: Zeke’s ex-pen is moving outside, and he will now be staying in his crate when Mom is gone. He’s a big boy now, and he has learned to wait to go [...]

Today Zeke had his first session of basic obedience training. He already had mastered the first two lessons: sit and watch me. He did very well staying focused and calm during class too. (A nice break compared to the first classes Daisy and I took together!) Zeke has seven more weeks of class until he [...]

Daisy and Zeke are both doing well. The fact that I haven’t had much to report is good news! That means that everyone is adjusting well, and there haven’t been any significant behaviors to highlight. Zeke starts basic obedience training soon, so I’m sure more reports will come from that. Stay posted! I hope to [...]

Zeke has officially been part of the Johnson pack for two weeks now! He is adjusting well into the daily routine, and many of the minor problems such as crying in the play pen and maniacal chewing are getting better. We will attend week two of Puppy Kindergarten today. Here’s a photo of his “den.” [...]

Zeke is a VERY good puppy! Here’s the latest update: Potty Training: He has been consistently going pee outside when mom is home. Last night, Zeke went poo outside for the first time! This morning, he immediately went potty both ways! Apparently liver treats and lots of praise go a long way for a little [...]
